    Wengen - one of the most beautiful alpine villages in the Bernese Oberland. Lying at an altitude of 1300 m (4265 ft) at the foot of the magnificent Jungfrau mountain range, Wengen is the home of the International Lauberhorn Downhill ski race.
    Wengen is also the starting point of the wonderful train ride to Jungfraujoch, Top of Europe (3454 m / 11,333 ft)
    - a highlight of any Swiss holiday.
    Wengen is well known for its pure mountain air. Lying on a sheltered terrace facing southwest, Wengen guarantees many hours of sunshine. Many guests coming to Wengen, one of the few villages in Switzerland not reached by road, find the tranquillity they are looking for all year. Wengen is also specially attractive for families with its pure mountain air and lack of noise from traffic.
    Wengen's old, well looked after wooden chalets give the village the charm and character of a typical mountain village. Although close to nature, Wengen offers its guests all modern comforts. Wengen has numerous hotels and chalets with apartments (more than 5500 beds).

    By car to Wengen By train to Wengen
    • Since there is no street to Wengen,
      you must leave your car in Lauterbrunnen.
    • At the station, there is a multistorey car park.

    • From Lauterbrunnen, the Wengernalp Railway (WAB)
      takes you in 15 minutes to Wengen.
    • Important : During season, the last train up to Wengen is at 02:40h.

    • Bernese Oberland Railway (BOB) to Lauterbrunnen.
    • In Lauterbrunnen change on same platform to the Wengernalp Railway (WAB) to Wengen.
